The David Emanuel Academy varsity boys dropped their home matchup against Edmund Burke Academy on Tuesday, December 9, falling 53–24. Ethan Fields led the Eagles with a strong all-around performance, scoring 12 points while adding 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Karson Kettles contributed 8 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Rounding out the scoring, Ben Griner and Robert Reynolds each added 2 points.
Lady Eagles Fall to Edmund Burke Academy, 44–35
The David Emanuel Lady Eagles came up short against Edmund Burke Academy on Tuesday, falling 44–35 after a tightly contested matchup. Aubrey Williams led the Eagles with 13 points, adding 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Addalyn Terwilliger followed with 8 points and 3 steals, while Emily McRae contributed 5 points. The Middle School Eagles fell to Edmund Burke on Tuesday, 12/9, by a score of 40–15. Charlie McRae led the Eagles with 8 points, while Dalton Flowers added 5 points. Walker Arp contributed 2 points to round out the scoring. Despite the tough result, the Eagles continued to battle throughout the game and showed solid effort on both ends of the floor.
Middle School Lady Eagles Defeat Edmund Burke Academy 34–28
The Middle School Lady Eagles earned a strong 34–28 win over Edmund Burke Academy on Tuesday, 12/9. Ava Williams led the way with an impressive 19 points, while Mary Bess Fields added 9. Rayleigh Faircloth chipped in 4 points, and Evie Moore contributed 2. The game was locked at 15–15 going into halftime, but the Lady Eagles took control in the third quarter, outscoring EBA 15–6 to create the separation they needed to secure the victory.
