Ms. Cynthia Hill, 60 of Swainsboro, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Interment will be at Swainsboro City Cemetery with private services.

Ms. Hill was born May 3, 1960 in Swainsboro to the late Tobie M. Wilson, Jr. and Jerri C. Walker.  Ms. Hill graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1978 and enrolled in the United States Army. After retirement from Publix Supermarket located in West Palm Beach, Florida, she relocated back to Swainsboro. She was a member of Consuming Fire Ministries. Ms. Hill loved people and found joy in seeing others happy. She was once named the Hometown Hero after saving a young lady from a burning car. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Deorie Foots; paternal grandparents, Tobie M. Wilson, Sr. and Nannie D. Wilson; and maternal grandparents, James B. Canady and Faeria Proctor Canady.

Survivors include her daughters, Carla (Dewayne) Foots of Swainsboro and Crystal Wilson of Greensboro, South Carolina; step-father, Bobby Walker of Swainsboro; sisters, Melanie Powell of Reidsville, Teresa (Ronnie) Newsome of Swainsboro, and Tammy (Lew) Donaldson of Twin City; eight grandchildren, Shanjuanyea Wadley, Dorien Foots, Caziah Foots, Calynn Foots, Yiale Foots, Joel Lewis, III, Joliyah Mitchel, and Joyleous Mitchel; two great-grandchildren, Joel Lewis IV and Gabrielle Lewis; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
