Hi, everybody! My name is Abbigail Hernandez, this week’s Cook of the Week. I was excited when I was told I was going to be this week’s feature! One of my favorite things to do in the whole, wide world is to help my mama and my grandma, Amy Blalock, in the kitchen all the time! They tell me I’m such a good helper, but I actually think they’re the ones helping me! When I grow up I want to be able to help people by becoming a police officer. Here are a few of my favorite recipes that I hope you will enjoy!

Pigs in a blanket with extra cheese
One can crescent roll dough
Shredded cheese
Mini sausages

Lay out crescent roll dough and cut precut triangles into two smaller triangles ( I use a pizza cutter because it’s safer). Sprinkle shredded cheese all over dough and place a mini sausage in each triangle. Roll neatly. Place on pan and cook for 8-12 minutes on 375°F until golden!

Best ever grilled cheese
Butter (and lots of it!)

Two pieces of sourdough bread
Cheddar cheese
Swiss cheese

Spread butter on sourdough bread and add cheese. Cook on stove on medium heat until golden crunchy on both sides.

“Pizza” snack
Four herb and cheese Triscuit crackers
Four pepperonis
Shredded mozzarella cheese

I learned this from my grandma, Amy. We use four herb and cheese Triscuit crackers, place one pepperoni on each cracker, and sprinkle mozzarella on top. Microwave or cook in the oven until cheese melts. Quick and yummy!
