Coach Harper and Coach Hodges speak at Exchange

At the regular meeting of the Swainsboro Exchange Club held on February 17, club member Dal Durden introduced guest speakers Chad Harper, head football coach of the ECI Bulldogs, and David Hodges, defensive coordinator and wrestling coach at Emanuel County Institute.

Coach Harper provided an update on the success of ECI’s athletic programs, highlighting recent accomplishments across multiple sports. He also expressed strong optimism noting a talented core of returning players who are expected to make a significant impact on the field.

Harper also shared exciting developments regarding campus facilities and the new field house at Emanuel County Institute. The new facility will enhance training and preparation while providing modern amenities that support the continued growth and success of ECI student-athletes.

Coach Hodges followed with remarks on both the Bulldogs’ defensive unit and the school’s wrestling program. Together, the coaches emphasized the vital role that discipline, hard work, and character development play in shaping student-athletes, both in competition and in life.

Exchange Club members expressed their appreciation for the coaches’ leadership, as well as their continued dedication to the students and athletic programs of Emanuel County Institute.
