Clark speaks to Veterans on Patriots Day

Posted

The Veterans at the Library held their weekly meeting at the Franklin Memorial Library Monday morning, April 20, at 9 A.M. With Chair Johnny Tapley presiding, we had 42 in attendance. The Beta Sigma Phi organization fed the Veterans with a fantastic breakfast meal consisting of sausage biscuits, fruit, donuts and all the trimmings. Shari Watt provided the orange juice, grape juice, cranberry juice, apple juice and coffee. The food was outstanding and we want to thank them for doing this for the Veterans. Chair Johnny talked to us about our upcoming Veterans Cup Golf Tournament and the selling of our "hole" sponsorships. Chair Johnny mentioned to us that today is "Patriots Day", April 20, 2026; the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War--Lexington and Concord--on April 19, 1775. Chair Johnny then asked Lisa Parham, Chair of the Republican Party of Emanuel County, to introduce our speaker for this morning, Georgia House Representative David Clark, who is running for the Lieutenant Governor of Georgia in the Republican Primary on Tuesday, May 19. Rep. Clark is a committed Christian, a Combat-tested mission ready Green Beret, a Georgia born and raised citizen, and a proud husband and father of three children.
