Swainsboro City Council met Friday, March 13 for a very short called meeting. Brother Brad McKenzie opened with prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Minutes from the March 2 meeting were approved unanimously.

Under old business, Council approved the transfer of property to East Georgia Regional Airport Authority. Council had already deeded 500 acres over to the Authority but the City is still the sponsor. Therefore, the City had to make the transition in order for the Authority to transfer 8.86 acres over to the Georgia State Patrol for the new barracks to be built there.

Under new business, Council approved Turnipseed Engineering as the engineer and ALGA as the administrator for the Community Development Block Grant. This grant is for sewer improvements in District 4 and 5.
