To be in the presence of God is to worship him. God created us to worship him. He delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt to worship him. They could not worship him in a strange land. They were free to worship God in the wilderness.
Now today we see that wise men still worship him. During the event of Jesus's birth, the wise men came from afar to worship the new born King. According to Matthew 2:2, The wisemen asked, “ Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him”
Yes, Christmas is about worship. It is about being in the presence of God. “ For Psalms 16:11 tells us that, “... in His presence is fullness of joy.” Then Jesus went on to tell us in John 15:11, “These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full.
He came to fill us with joy. “Joy to the world, the Lord has come.” You need his joy today. For the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). So in order to defeat this life, receive the joy of the Lord. Let us get in his presence. Let us worship Him. Remember Christmas is for Worship. Let us celebrate the birth of Jesus in Worship.
