Chamber Spotlight: Toms Pawn Central

Posted

Tom’s Pawn Central is owned by Tommy Hunt and opened its doors for the first time in 2009, then again in 2019 at the new location. Tommy started in the pawn business 30 years ago with his brother. In 2002, Tommy opened his first Tom’s Pawn City on his own and has since expanded to four other locations in Metter, Lyons, Claxton, and Vidalia and became Tom’s Pawn Central. Tom’s Pawn Central now consists of 17 employees and offers no-hassle, quick and easy loans, jewelry repairs, gun cleaning, new and used firearms, jewelry, tools, electronics, guitars, and more. They were awarded the Best of Pawn Award from Pawn Broker Network this year.

Tom’s Pawn Central is very involved in the local community through contributions to Swainsboro Boosters, Rotary, Kiwanis, and Pine Tree Festival. They believe the Chamber has many opportunities for them as a small business. While they may not take advantage of all those opportunities, Tom’s Pawn Central believes the Chamber also plays an important role in business development, leadership development, and community development in our town, working toward the betterment of our community.
