The Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority partnered with EDGE College and Career Academy to present to students enrolled in the Small Business Entrepreneurship Basics course. Mr. Ken Warnock, CEO of the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority and Chairman of the EDGE CCA Board, shared insights on Emanuel County’s business landscape. This collaboration demonstrates the Chamber’s commitment to workforce development, entrepreneurship, and building connections between local business leaders and future professionals.
Mr. Warnock introduced students to key aspects of small business ownership, including identifying market needs, managing startup costs, building customer relationships, and developing effective marketing strategies. He also emphasized community involvement, networking, and the local resources available to aspiring entrepreneurs.
“Our local entrepreneurs are the backbone of economic growth, and we are excited to introduce students to the possibilities of creating and sustaining their own businesses,” said Mr. Warnock. “EDGE CCA students consistently show curiosity and initiative, and we are proud to support their exploration of real-world career pathways.”
EDGE CCA’s Small Business Entrepreneurship Basics course prepares students to think creatively, solve problems, and explore business opportunities. This presentation allowed students to hear directly from Chamber leadership and gain firsthand insight into the challenges and rewards of small business ownership.
EDGE CCA looks forward to continued collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce as both organizations work to inspire the next generation of innovators and local business leaders.
