Deputy Jamey Chalker graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center’s Police Academy at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, June 23. He was elected president of his class and awarded the top marksman award. Deputy Chalker was honored to be given the “225th Guide On” flag for his leadership abilities. He is now a certified law enforcement officer entrusted with protecting life and property. Deputy Chalker has moved from jailer to uniform patrol division.
