Calvary Methodist Church of Swainsboro has been busily preparing for their annual Vacation Bible School to be held on Saturday, June 13. “This year’s theme, ‘Jesus is the Light of the World’, is certainly timely for us today”, stated Rev. Tom Tidwell, Calvary pastor. “Our world situation can seem very dark and hopeless, but Jesus is our one true Source of Light in the darkness. What an important lesson for our children to learn,” he concluded.
Children who have just completed Pre-K through those completing 4th grade are invited to attend the half day event. Those attending will gather at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday the 13th on the front porch of the Church. VBS Director, Linda Carmichael stated, “We are excited and can’t wait to share with the children how Jesus is their Light! Also, we will discuss what children need to do with the Light that Jesus gives them.” Mrs. Carmichael added, “Don’t let your children miss out on this opportunity to have fun while learning about Jesus.”
During the morning children will enjoy music, crafts, Bible stories and many entertaining activities. Lunch will be provided. Children will be dismissed from the Church Social Hall at 1:00 p.m.
In order for workers to be prepared for your child, please call the church at 478-237-2191 to register. Calvary Methodist Church of Swainsboro can’t wait to Share The Light!
