The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: Brandon Jones, Cherie Hooks, Del Brown, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney. John Allen Bailey was absent. Chairman Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Johnny Parker leading the Pledge of Allegiance. A motion was made by Tanya Lane to accept the agenda as presented. Brandon Jones seconded. Brandon Jones, Cherie Hooks, Del Brown, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney voted “yes”. CARRIED.

Brandon Jones made a motion for the Emanuel County Board of Education to name Dr. Denise Warnock as the sole finalist for the next Emanuel County Schools Superintendent. Cherie Hooks seconded. Brandon Jones, Cherie Hooks, Del Brown, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney voted “yes”. CARRIED.
