The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Tuesday, March 28, at 9 a.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: John Allen Bailey, Mason Henry, Cherie Hooks, Tanya Lane, Johnny Parker and Sandra Swinney. Absent was Del Brown. Chairman Mason Henry welcomed everyone, calling the meeting to order and delivered the invocation, followed by Johnny Parker leading the Pledge of Allegiance. The agenda was approved as presented.

• Ms. Mollie Smith presented the FY24 Budget with a slide presentation.
In executive session, the Board approved the resignation of the following certified employees:
Jessica Hirst - Counselor - TCE - 6/30/2023; Ron Hirst - Principal - SPS - 6/30/2023; Renee McGraw - Teacher - SES - 5/26/2023
The Board approved the resignation of the following classified employees:
James Crews - Driver Trainer - Transportation - 3/31/23; Hailey Weeks - Paraprofessional - ELC - 3/27/23
