Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Bernice Brown McCullough, 77, of
Swainsboro on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her residence. Graveside services were held Saturday, December 5 at 11 a.m. in the Youmans Cemetery near Lexsy. The family received friends Saturday, December 5 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. CDC social distancing guidelines were observed and masks were encouraged for safety and the health and well-being of others.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Mrs. McCullough was born November 29, 1943, to the late J. E. (Baby) and Johnnie Hendrix Brown in Swainsboro, and retired as a bookkeeper from Central Bank after 20 plus years. She was a
loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was her greatest joy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter “Frank” McCullough; son, Rusty Pritchard; sister, Betty Fagler; and brother, Billy Brown.
Survivors include daughters, Cherie Hooks (Ricky) and Christy Womack (Mike) all of Nunez; sons, Marty Pritchard (Chris) of Wrightsville and Shannon McCullough (Stephanie) of Nunez; brother; Bobby Brown (Charlotta) of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Beau Pritchard (Taylor), Brock Pritchard (Kirby), Jodi Singletary (Guy), Baron Pritchard, Barrett Pritchard, Benett Pritchard, Emma Pritchard, Nix Hooks, Kent Womack, Kelcy Womack, Math McCullough, Ebb McCullough, Myli Jane McCullough, and Capp McCullough; great-grandchildren, Lyndon Singletary, Dessie Singletary, Emmitt Singletary, and Ayden Pritchard; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
