Be Thankful

Posted

Have you ever gone out of your way to do a good deed for someone? Did they tell you, Thank You? If they did not acknowledge or appreciate your kindness, how did you respond? What did you say about them? Did it change the way you felt about them? Now from your answers, how do we think God feels when we don't acknowledge him? How does he feel when we do not tell him thank you? Just remember it is His Breathe that we are breathing. He blew the breath of life in us. So did you already tell him thank you? Now breathing is just the beginning of what he has done for us.

We are living in the mercies of God which are new every morning. To be thankful is to show appreciation. So, we take this time to show our gratitude to God. Psalm 103 tells us to, " Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." The Psalmist begin to name some of the benefits of the Lord.

Benefits: "He forgives our iniquities; he heals all our diseases; he saved our life from destruction; he crowns our heads with lovingkindness and tender mercies; he satisfies our mouths with good things." Now you can continue to add to this list as it has no end. So, let's be thankful to God for his many blessings towards us.

Will you slow down long enough to give God thanks from your heart and from your soul? Will you teach your family to give God thanks? Will you let them hear you say, "Thank You Jesus"? Will you let them hear you say," Thank you Lord."? Pray prayers of thanks to God with your family this

Thanksgiving. Do it every day. It will change your atmosphere. It will change your home. It is what is missing today. "Just Be Thankful."
