Barbara Ruth Green Taylor, age 86, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2023. A Celebration of life and Legacy was held Saturday, December 9, at 1 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home with Elder Delmus G. Mosley officiating. Burial followed at St Galilee Cemetery.
Barbara was born October 5, 1937, to the late James “Buddy” Levi Green and Ruth Williams Green Scott. She graduated from the Professor N.E. Williams School of Emanuel County. Barbara moved to New Jersey at a young age and attended the Manpower Training School to become a stockbroker. She worked for Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith for over 30 years before retiring. Barbara then worked for the Board of Education of Newark, NJ until her health declined. She loved to grow vegetables and loved all animals. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kerry Lamont Witt; grandson, David Witt, and two sisters.
Mrs. Taylor leaves to cherish her memories with her son, Horace M. (Alberta) Hall; daughter, Patricia Taylor; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family, friends and her loving fur baby, “Miss Kitty”.
