“Coach Artie Fields, Coach Dedra Kearson and myself are very proud of this team that is left standing this season. We have faced adversity this year with losing several members of the team that started the season.. some by lack of commitment, but some by unfortunate injuries and health reasons. Unfortunately, we lost Cordarius Lee at the last regular season Meet of the year, to a knee injury. Cord was one of the top two long jumpers in all of Class A-II, and had high hopes of winning another region championship and a possible state championship. He was also a valuable member of several boys relay teams… we wish Cord the best in his recovery as he prepares to begin his college football career at Anderson university in the fall.”
The dogs will go back to work to prepare for the State Sectionals that will be held next weekend, May 6th, at Greenbrier High School, in Augusta.
