Jim Acosta has been named the new Manager of Main Street Market Antique Mall effective October 1, 2026. Current manager, Michael Bright recently announced his retirement effective September 30.

“Jim and his wife, Dottie, have been dealers at Main Street Market for many years. They know the store well and have always been willing to step in and help whenever I needed to take a day off. As I prepare for my retirement, I’m glad to know that Main Street Market will be in good hands. I believe Jim and Dottie will do a great job, and I wish them nothing but the very best as they begin this new chapter,” said Bright. “It has been a true pleasure serving as Manager of Main Street Market for the past 12 years. I sincerely thank everyone for your friendship, support, and encouragement throughout this wonderful journey. I would also like to thank the Downtown Development Authority of Swainsboro for giving me the opportunity to serve as Manager all these years.”

To every dealer who has been a part of Main Street Market over the years, and to every customer who has walked through our doors — thank you! Each of you has played a part in making Main Street Market the special place it is today.

Looking back with so many fond memories, Bright says he is grateful for the opportunity to have met so many wonderful people along the way.

“I encourage everyone to continue supporting Main Street Market Antique Mall. It is a tremendous asset to the City of Swainsboro, and your continued support will help ensure that it remains a special place in our community for many years to come,” concluded Bright.
