CSRA EOA, INC. LIHWAP (Low Income Household Water Assistance Program) is scheduling appointments to assist households with their home water bills. Our target population at this time is households who have an arrearage or past due water bill. Beginning January 3, 2022, the program can assist households that contain seniors 60 years of age and older and households that contain children five years of age and younger with current or past due water bills. All other households will be eligible to apply for assistance beginning February 1, 2022. Applications for all counties will be accepted by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Due to the continued impact of Covid-19, our offices will not be seeing clients face to face. To schedule a screening please call the Emanuel County Senior Center at (478) 237-5434. Items needed to Apply - Picture Id for all household members 18 years and older, Social Security card for all household members, proof of income for past 30 days for all household member and most recent water bill.
Please note that your household water supplier MUST be a registered vendor for the LIHWAP Program with DHS in order for your household to be eligible for LIHWAP. NO DIRECT PAYMENTS UNDER THIS PROGRAM CAN BE PAID TO CLIENTS.
Registered vendors to date are the following cities: Adrian, Stillmore, Twin City, Nunez and Swainsboro.
