On Tuesday, April 23rd, the Exchange Club of Swainsboro held their annual Youth of the Year awards luncheon where students from Emanuel County schools were recognized. DEA senior Billy Martin was selected first overall, and DEA senior Josie Grace Black was selected county runner up. Both students received scholarship awards.
The Exchange Club Youth of the Year award recognizes students who have excelled in the areas of academics, honors and awards, and community service. Billy is the son of Will and Allison Martin, and Josie Grace is the daughter of Josh and Jessica Black.
