Family Connection works with STEAM classes

Posted

Family Connection works with the STEAM classes and various grade level classrooms during the school year to provide nutrition education and hands-on cooking skills. Teachers have seen the benefit of using the Charlie Cart to teach their subject matter to students in creative ways that will make lifelong lessons. Math, science, and social studies have all been a part of the classes offered this year at TCE, SPS, and SES. Agriculture and nutrition education are a big part of our school system's objectives, and these are huge strategy goals for Family Connection in improving every child's health and well-being. Family Connection continues the Charlie Cart lessons through the Emanuel Chopped Jr. cooking camps. If your child would like to participate in one of those camps, please see the application in this week's issue and follow the instructions. Applications are due May 10.
