Mr. Albert Huston, Jr., age 78, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at St. Philip Baptist Church. Interment followed in Kirkland Cemetery in Summertown.
Mr. Huston was born August 21, 1944, in Swainsboro, to the late Albert Huston, Sr. and Mattie Downing Huston. He had a passion for playing the harmonica and listening to gospel music. Albert met Charity Zeigler 42 years ago and together they reared a loving blended family. Mr. Huston is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Earnest “John” Huston, Annie Pearl Johnson, Geraldine Smith, Walter Huston, and Emma Williams; and son, Ricky Miles.
Mr. Huston leaves to cherish his memories with Charity Zeigler; his children, Alyson J. Huston of Swainsboro, Dwayne Johnson (Joanne), Rosa Johnson, Terrance Harper (Akisha), and Darnel Jones; sisters, Bernice Handsberry and Bobbie Colins, both of Swainsboro; sister-in-laws, Eloise Huston-Johnson fo sTillmore and Mary Huston of Swainsboro; his special 103-year-old aunt, Claudie Cheeks of Miami, FL; special friends, Calvin Thompson, Carlton Askew and Woodrow Bowles; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
