Willie Ruth Cephus, 74

Ms. Willie Ruth Cephus, age 74, entered into eternal rest on September 2, 2021, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Celebration of life was held Monday, September 6, at 11 a.m. at St. James AME Church Cemetery in Twin City with Rev. Amos Handsom presiding and Rev. Teddy Pierce as Eulogist.

Ms. Cephus was born February 5, 1947, to the late willie and Rosa Lee Swans in Twin City. She was a graduate of Swainsboro High School Rattlers, Class of 1964. Ms. Cephus was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the St. James Methodist Church in Twin City. Ms. Cephus is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Idea McQuarter, Lorene Gibson, and Joyce Milton; brother, and three Talmadge Swans, Joe Eddie Swans, and Phillip Swans.

Ms. Cephus leaves to cherish her memories with a daughter, Tata Williams; son, Marvin (Shykendria) Williams; five sisters; three aunts; granddaughters, Kiara Williams, Kenyatta Jordan, and Tyrel Jordan; grandson, Allester Williams; great-granddaughter, Ava Monae Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
