Willie Lee Williams, 70, entered God's eternal arms November 4, 2020. Graveside services were Sunday, November 15 at 11am at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Pastor Dr. Charles Wiggins officiating.
Mr. Williams was born March 22, 1950 in Millen to the late Johnny Williams, Sr. and Lugenia Williams. Willie attended Emanuel County public schools and graduated from Swainsboro High. He enjoyed playing football. Willie enlisted in the US Army and did numerous special duties and assignments while serving his country for 22 years. He also worked for Coastal State Prison for over 20 years. Willie is preceded in death by his parents; unnamed brother that passed shortly after birth; brother, Johnny Williams, II; and daughter, Marcello (Marcie) Travet-Morgan.
Mr. Williams leaves to celebrate and continue his legacy a loving wife, Linda Ruth Green-Williams; four sons, Johnny (Natasha) Williams, III of Warner Robins, Michael Stokes of Atlanta, Bobby Buckner of Atlanta, and Beary Williams of Glenville; two daughters, Aretha (Victor) Figueroa of Swainsboro and Penny Williams of Augusta; special son, Eric (Rochelle) Travet of Vidalia; special daughter, Tiphany Travet of South Bend, IN; 8 grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Mosley's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
