William Henry Curl, 74, resident of Swainsboro, died Sunday, September 20, 2020 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were Wednesday, September 23, at 11 a.m. from the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Sheriff Tyson Stephens and Pastor Chad Kennison officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were the Emanuel County Sheriff's Department.

Mr. Curl was born in Swainsboro to the late Raymond Curl and Bessie Lee Tant Curl. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Curl, and a brother and two sisters. He had been employed with the Emanuel County Sheriff's office since 1984. Mr. Curl was a member of Georgia Peace Officer's Association, and a member of Bithynia Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Phillip Curl (Susan), Anthony Curl (Karen); daughter, Phyllis Curl Hammock; grandchildren, Corey Swymer, Candace Curl, Cameron Curl, Sage Curl, Justin Edenfield (Kristen), Jessica Boulineau (Kelly), Brandon Fields (Amy), and Madison Curl; great grandchildren, Gracie Edenfield, Maycie Edenfield, and Kennedy Rae Boulineau; four sisters, Dolly Newsome, Eloise Trull, Cherry Allen, and Debra Alford; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home, Herrington Homestead, 8109 Hwy 297, Nunez, Georgia 30448.
