When You are in the Fire

Posted

Life brings many challenges to us. It is because we live in a fractured world. From the day Adam sinned in the garden, our world became fractured. So that means you are going to experience difficult situations. as long as you are here. Job said, " A man that is born of a woman is full of trouble and a few days.". Yes, you will experience troubles. So, what do I do when I am challenged? What do I do when life becomes hectic and more than I can bear? What do I do when I become overwhelmed and feel like I am in the fire?

Well let's see what others have said and done. When I think of being in the fire, I think of the Hebrew Boys in Daniel chapter three. They were taken from their homeland, yet they refused to eat the king’s meat or to drink what he had prepared. They obeyed God and refused to bow to the king. They stayed true to their God, the true and living God. They were put in a fiery furnace. The fire was so hot that the men who put them in fell dead at the door. The next day the king looked in the furnace and said we put in three, but I see four and the fourth one looks like the "Son of God".

The Hebrew Boys we're walking around in the fire. The bible says their hair was not burned and there was no smell of smoke in their clothes. Their bands were loosened, and they were walking around in the fire. So, when you are going through, stay true to God. Don't stop believing and trusting him because you are going through challenges. We need him more now than ever. The word of God tells us that we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. The battle is already fought, and the victory is already won. Just stay in the fight. Jesus has won it for you.

Jesus has given us his Word. He will never leave nor forsake us. He said he would be with you always, even unto the end of the world. So, when you feel like you are in the fire, remember David in Psalms 23,"...even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me…surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord ever.". So, stay with God and he will stay with you. (Even when you are in the fire).

Remember Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
