The Wiregrass Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution meet every Friday morning at 8:00 for breakfast at Leanna's. This week, they were joined by several members of the ‘Veterans at the Library’ group on November 11, 2022, to prepare for attending four school events that honored Veterans on Veterans Day. These schools were Twin City Elementary, Swainsboro High School, Emanuel County Institute and Swainsboro Middle School. During the previous week the SAR group learned that the owners of Leanna's, Levi, and Arianna Stoltzfus, celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on November 4, 2022. After discovering this, the Veterans at the Library Chair, John Tapley, purchased balloons and a card for the Veterans to present to the Stoltzfus’s on November 11. All the attendees signed the card and sang Happy Anniversary to Levi and Arianna. “We are so glad to meet at Leanna's every Wednesday at 3:00 for smoothies, pastries, and ice cream sundae’s and on Friday morning's at 8:00 a.m. for coffee and breakfast.” Veteran and SAR member, Dess Smith said.
