Unfailing Love

There is a song which says, "What the world needs now is love, sweet love, that's the only thing that there is just too little of." Dionne Warwick emphasized that the world needs Love. Better yet, God commanded us to love.

In Matthew chapter twenty-two a lawyer, who was a Pharisee asked Jesus which was the greatest commandment. Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy Got with all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as they self. On these two commandments hangs all the law and the prophets".

So, while everyone is trying to figure out what to do and what had gone wrong, the answer is love. God's love is unfailing. It's the only thing that works. He commands to even love our enemies. He commands us to pray for those who used is despitefully.

Paul tells the church in II Corinthians chapter twelve about the spiritual gifts, but in the very last verse he says, "Yet I show you a more excellent way." That's when he writes chapter thirteen. The love chapter. Please read it in as many bible versions as you like. Yes, love never fails. He tells us to have faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love.

Try loving God then it's easy to love yourself and others. Yes, God's love is unfailing. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but shall have everlasting life." (John 3:16).

Ecclesiastes 12:23 says, "Let Us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
