Two sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court January 2022 term:

Jerriel Jermaine Deloach, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count of Cruelty to children in the first degree. He was fined $200 with 20 years probation, subject to Pineland BH; one count of cruelty to children in the first degree with 20 years probation; Nol Pros for three counts cruelty to children in the first degree. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 20 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Lincoln Eugene Godfrey, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count rape (criminal attempt to commit rape) He was fined $1,000 with 20 years, ten years to serve, bal. prob.; one count sexual battery with 12 months to serve. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 20 years, with the first ten years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of ten years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.
