Two sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court January 2023 term:

William Cody Hobbs, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $100 and sentenced to 10 years, two years to serve, bal. prob.; possession of drug related objects with 12 months to serve. Defendant is sentenced for a total of ten years with the first two years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of two years the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation PROVIDED that the defendant shall comply with Conditions of Probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Robert Seaborn Hillard, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth. He was fined $1,000 with three years probation, 120-150 PDC followed RSAT susp.; possession of drug related objects with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of three years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

He was fined $1,000 with three years probation, 120-150 PDC followed RSAT susp.; possession of controlled substance with three years probation; possession of drug related objects with 12 month’s probation; DUI with 12 months probation; weaving over roadway with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of six years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.
