Twin City Clerk is now Georgia Certified City Clerk

Twin City Clerk Eugenia (Genia) Archer Ducker has recently completed the requirements to become a Georgia Certified City Clerk. Ducker was presented her certification at the Georgia Clerks Education Institute Conference in Athens, GA on Monday, September 12, 2022. The Georgia Clerks Education Institute Certified Clerks Program for city and county clerks is administered by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Clerks must complete 101 hours of instruction and successfully complete courses and written assessments, with courses relating to general management, records management, elections, meeting administration, management of by-laws, human resources, and financial management.

Twin City Mayor Matt Donaldson said, “We are very proud of Genia. Ever since she was promoted to City Clerk, she has worked diligently to complete this certification. It demonstrates her dedication to Twin City. The City Commission commends her dedication to education and making Twin City a better place.” Genia began working with the City of Twin City in 2014. In 2016, she was promoted to Assistant City Clerk. During her tenure at the city, she has been the Recreation Director and Municipal Court Clerk. Genia was appointed City Clerk in May 2020.

Genia is the daughter of Joann Archer and the late Eugene Archer, Sr. She was born and raised in Twin City. She has three daughters: Ryleigh, Aleigha, and Jaylee. She attended Emanuel County Institute and later studied at Southeastern Technical College.
