Twin City Centennial Kick-Off set for next Friday!

In celebration of its 100th year as an established city within Emanuel County, the city of Twin City will host a centennial kick-off ceremony Friday, Feb. 26, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. The event will take place at the Twin City Welcome Center and will include a tour of the old city jail that has recently underwent renovation work. At this particular celebration, Twin City will highlight the mayors of Twin City from 1936 to current. The list of mayors the city has on file are as follows:

Did you know: The 1st through 15th mayors of Twin City are unknown. With no documentation to validate who served in the City of Twin City, no names can be provided at this time. The City of Twin City encourages anyone with information pertaining to individuals who served as mayor of Twin City from 1921-1935 to contact the Twin City City Hall.
