TLC Children’s Services, Inc. is excited to introduce Connie L. Clifton as its newest TLC CASA Advocacy Coordinator in Georgia’s Middle Judicial Circuit. Clifton was born in Wayne County and moved to Vidalia in the early 80s, graduating from Vidalia Comprehensive High School. Clifton comes to TLC CASA with a background in Early Childhood Education, experience in Radio, and as a former legal advocate with The Refuge Domestic Violence Shelter, in addition to various church and community children’s programming. Clifton and her husband, Henry, have one son and daughter-in-law and two precious grandchildren, with whom they love spending time.
Clifton joins Dianna Wedincamp in advocating for children in the foster care system in Toombs, Candler and Emanuel counties. Wedincamp’s education in Natural and Cultural Resource Management and Recreation led her to advocacy as the Ogeechee Riverkeeper and to the development of supplementary academic and cultural enrichment programs for middle and high school at-risk students. Always the advocate, Wedincamp also coordinated educational programs for the Project Wild and Project Wet programs, working with local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts on the Adopt-A-Stream Program. Wedincamp is a life-long resident of Emanuel County. She and her husband, Jimmy, have two grown sons and a daughter-in-law and love being close to their extended families.
