Timothy Darnell McCalla, age 45, of Swainsboro, a native of Elberton, entered his eternal rest on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center in Elberton. Interment followed in the Lincoln Heights Cemetery. Family received friends Tuesday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mack’s Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Elberton. Tim lay in state at Chapman Funeral Home in Swainsboro on Monday, May 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. with a short service of remembrance at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. At all other times, the family was grateful to receive friends at the residence.
Survivors include his children, Jordan McCalla, Kendric McCalla, Jamison Syphore, Tavious Dorsey, Tamiyah McCalla, De’Maurie Ford, Ke’Asia Marion, and Akira Marion; parents, William and Diane McCalla; beautiful and devoted fiance’, LaShanta Mack; sister, Emory D. Byrd (Myron); 2 brothers, Jason (Jessica) McCalla and Rev. Justin McCalla; 1 grandchild, Jamison Syphore, Jr.; 2 god grandchildren, Jacquez Worthen and Kyriee Jenkins; special aunt/mom who raised him, Loretha McCalla; grandmother, Sara E. Hughes; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
