Three sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court October 2021 term:

Armondo Jamarkes Cuyler negotiated a plea of guilty (Alford) on one count home invasion, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and three counts armed robbery. A third charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony was deemed nol pros. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 23 years with the first 13 years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Quinton Jerome Andrews negotiated a plea of guilty (Alford) on one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count false report of a crime. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 5 years with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Jamal Brashad Hawkins negotiated a plea of guilty on one count theft by taking. Two additional counts (driving without license and stop sign violation) were deemed nol pros. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 5 years with the first 2 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be completed on probation. The defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.
