As spring is about to approach, the green grass is beginning to come out of it's winter dominance. The pollination is beginning to take place soon as our cars are covered with the yellow substance. People begin to suffer with their sinus because of the changing of the weather. One thing I have noticed throughout the winter and will also see it in the spring, the sheep following my son. It doesn't matter which season we are in, they all follow Bryan. He is their true leader.
Sheep have to be led. They cannot be driven. Sheep are flock. They always stay together. The only time a sheep is not with the flock, something is wrong with that sheep. So that reminds me of St. John 10 4&5 Jesus said, my sheep hear my voice and a stranger they will not follow. So, who is your true leader today? Everyone is following something or someone. The proud in spirit says, " I am not following anyone, I make my own decisions". Then where are you going? Where will you end if you are leading yourself?
David said in Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lay down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thy art with me; His rod and staff they comfort me. He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. He anoints my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
So, if you're looking for a true leader, I recommend following Jesus. He is the best choice for me. He has everything I need and everything I am looking for. In Proverbs 3:5-6 Solomon the wise man tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and learn not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths." Yes, the Lord is the true leader for today and always.
