The Forest-Blade proudly announces the launching of its newly added media outlet, The Blade Podcast! We're also excited to announce our two newest production staff members and podcast host, Chris Durden and Russell Gates.
Durden is a 2020 graduate of Swainsboro High School. He’s currently attending East Georgia State College. Gates is a current high school senior and will graduate Swainsboro High School in May 2022.
Effective November 2021, Durden and Gates became The Forest-Blade’s newest employees and will be assisting in the newsroom and graphics department as well as our online social media platforms. Eagerly ready to launch The Blade Podcast prior to their November hire date, the two production staff members have launched five podcasts thus far and have more ideas for the making of new episode releases. The first launched episodes of The Blade Podcast feature Swainsboro Mayoral Candidate Shayna M. Boston and Greg Bennett, episodes 1 and 2; Emanuel County Schools Superintendent Scotty Hattaway, episode 3; Rod Pat, episode 4; and Dellwood Baptist Pastor Joe Bedgood, episode 5.
