Ms. Kathy Jordan's second-grade class at Twin City Elementary School presented their animal projects on Wednesday, March 29. The students presented them to their families, the TCE administration, and Superintendent Scotty Hattaway. Each student chose an animal of their choice and researched information using the school library and research databases. Then, they practiced their public speaking skills. One student, Cyril Salinas, chose the tarantula for his project. So, Ms. Kathy invited Mr. Curtis Ducker to visit with his pet tarantula named Aragog. He shared his knowledge of tarantulas and other spiders with the class, and then the students got to see Aragog up close. It was a fun and exciting day in Ms. Kathy's classroom!
