The Swainsboro High School Tigers defeated North East Macon rivals on Friday, November 26, with a final score of 12-9. The Tigers will now advance to the Georgia High School Association semi-final game. The game will be held at Tiger Field this Friday, December 3, and will host the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

In celebration of the Tigers entering the Final Four, the Swainsboro Cheerleaders will honor the varsity team with a week-long celebration. On Tuesday, a Tiger Drive Thru event was held from 4:45 until 6 p.m. All tiger fans were encouraged to bring their cars through the Tiger drive thru set up in front of the school’s new gym to be decorated with tiger spirit!

Today, December 1, the cheerleaders will be out painting store front windows of business with black, gold and white. If you would like for the cheerleaders to sop by your business, please contact Head Cheer Coach Luci Metz-McNeely.

Tomorrow, the cheer squad will participate in the Swainsboro Christmas Parade to hype up the crowd before the big game Friday.

Friday’s event will feature Shake the Stadium. Cheerleaders will be passing out free shakers so the varsity team can hear all the loud and proud fans! Be sure to get yours first! Supplies are limited and will be disbursed on a first-come basis beginning at 6:30 p.m.
