Swainsboro Spotlight: The Rustic Grille

Posted

For this week’s Swainsboro Spotlight, The Forest-Blade highlights The Rustic Grilel. Located at the address of 1253 US 80 in Swainsboro, this restaurant is one of the newer restaurants to be welcomed into the community and offers an appetizing buffet and full menu for all ages. Tonya Moore, owner of The Rustic Grille, recently sat down for a weekend interview and gave some insight on how business is going for the local grub spot. Here’s what she had to say…

Q: How has business been for The Rustic Grille since opening the established restaurant?

A: Our local business has performed well since opening our doors and has been especially busy because of the holidays, which is great!

Q: How long has The Rustic Grille been open?

A: On January 2, 2022, we will celebrate 2 years of business as The Rustic Grille. The established location has been around much longer than two years but operations were not ran by the same company.

Q: Is there a fan-favorite menu item at your restaurant?

A: There are several fan favorites here at The Rustic Grille but I’d have to say that the Country Buffet is favored the most by our customers.

Likewise, what’s your personal favorite menu item?

A: Hands down – the Buffalo Chicken Wrap is my absolute favorite. I highly suggest trying it on your next visit with us!

Q: Are there any advantages and/or disadvantages of your business location?

A: The location of our restaurant has its advantages and disadvantages just like any other local business. Being that we are out of the city, we don’t get as much traffic as other restaurants located within city limits. But, this is also an advantage to others who don’t like dining in crowded locations and for those who live out of the city limits.

Q: Are there any holiday specials currently offered at The Rustic Grille?

A: We have a two steak specials – a steak and shrimp special and a dine-for-two special.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you want to give for new and established businesses in our area?

A: Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. There will always be someone telling you what you’re doing isn’t going to work out, but you have to stick with your own goals to succeed.
