Swainsboro PD, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office makes arrest

The Swainsboro Police Department was contacted by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in Florida in reference to an individual living at a Swainsboro address following an investigation that had occurred in their jurisdiction. The subject in question was Taylor Sue Winegard, 26, of a 214 College Street Swainsboro address. Swainsboro Police Department was able to confirm that Wingard was in fact living on College Street in Swainsboro.

Investigators from Florida had active warrants on Winegard related to distribution of methamphetamine and conspiracy to introduce illegal substance to detention facility. On the morning of April 8, officers of Swainsboro Police Department and officers of West Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve warrants at the residence of 214 College street for the arrest of Winegard. Officers on the scene did in fact locate Winegard at the time for charges related to the Florida investigation. Subsequently, Swainsboro Police Department, following the arrest, secured search warrants for the residence. With the execution of the search warrants a thorough search of 214 College street was conducted, producing the seizure of 363 grams of suspected MDMA (Ecstasy) along with 8 grams of crack cocaine as well as a small amount of marijuana. Along with the seizure of a substantial amount of illegal substances, officers located a loaded firearm within the residence. Winegard, as a result of the search, has additional charges with Swainsboro Police Department of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

During this investigation, information was obtained that Winegard did not act alone. A second suspect by the name of Russell Givens a.k.a. “Running Man” is being sought after by Swainsboro Police Department for similar charges related to this investigation.
