In April 2018, at the age of 19, God took Mikella Hansley into a vision. In the vision, she was consumed by a large body of water, but she shot up quickly and powerfully. Because Hansley’s grandmother, Dora, had just passed, she thought the vision represented her overcoming the grief of her death. Little did she know that God was about to take her on a journey as a motivational speaker and book author.
In 2019, Hansley realized that her books would not only align with her ministry, but also with her speaking career as a Christian motivational speaker. Hansley’s first book, Covered By Three (CB3) Anointing Over Perfection: The Power of Perseverance in Pursuit of Purpose, was later published and released Nov. 26, 2020. In addition to her publication, Hansley has also released shirts and other products as well as launch her own website,  www.coveredbythree.com, which can also be found on Google if searched by “Covered By Three LLC”.
Covered By Three (CB3) Anointing Over Perfection: The Power of Perseverance in Pursuit of Purpose is dedicated to Hansley’s grandmother and is foreworded by Pastor Dr. Marcus Gill. It features a 20-day guide that includes songs, quotes, scriptures and activities in each chapter based on Hansley’s life journey and how she overcame hardships while being perfected at the same time. One thing Hansley has realized is that we all have a gift, but what you are anointed to do will prevail over your imperfections.
Anointing Over Perfection: The Power of Perseverance in Pursuit of Purpose was inspired by Hansley looking at all the mistakes she made in her life, feeling and being broken, and not feeling qualified to be used by God. She believes that she had to go through certain things, so the readers of this book wouldn’t have to.

Hansley realizes that no matter what happens to her in life, or how she responds to what happens, God will not stop loving her. He’s going to use everything she went through and goes through for His glory. As Psalm 138:8 says, “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.”
Since the November 2020 publication, Hansley has landed an interview with VoyageLA and has been invited to Atlanta to be featured on television. In June 2020, Hansley was featured in The World Network host and magazine. She was also featured on East Georgia State College’s News section for December 2020.
Hansley’s book, both paperback and Ebook, has been made available on multiple platforms such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, EGSC News, Walmart, Eden, Lulu, Goodreads, Saxo, TakeAlot, Ebay, Second Sale, Google Books, Books A Million, Indie Bound, Bol.com, Booktopia, Mighty Ape, Kitabinabak, Bokus, dicksmith.com.au and YouTube, as well as Hansley’s personal website Coveredbythree.com and Facebook Covered By Three (CB3 Series). In addition, she has also featured a YouTube video explanation of her book which can be located by visiting Anointing Over Perfection (Psalm 138) - YouTube.
Hansley is a 22-year old native of Swainsboro. She attended East Georgia State College and later furthered her education as a criminal justice graduate at Middle Georgia State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in December 2019. While enrolled at EGSC, Hansley was very involved in the Criminal Justice Club, Phi Theta Kappa and the Ambassadors. She worked directly with the city mayor and college president through her role as vice president of the EGSC Student Government Association. Hansley was chosen for the prestigious All USA Award by the college president and Georgia senators. She is the first Swainsboro CTAE video success story and the first from her hometown to speak to an intergenerational group of students and women at KYP and from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in two cities in South Africa, Soweto and Johannesburg. She is the first African American female to receive an internship with the CBCF from her hometown. In doing so, she desires to bring more awareness to the underrepresented African American community.
