Three students from Swainsboro High School made the Georgia Music Educators Association District Ten Honor Band. The students went through an audition process that included students from Augusta to Swainsboro. The students are, Kylee Farley, 5th chair trombone, 9th-10th grade band; Jayson Brown, 2nd chair Alto Saxophone, 11th-12th grade band and Bo Brown, 4th chair, 9th-10th grade band. They had their concerts on February 11, 2023, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, GA.
