Nine sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court January 2023 term:

Corenthius Wilcher, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count robbery. He was fined $100 with 20 years, 10 to serve, bal. prob.; one count burglary with 20 years, 10 to serve, bal. prob.; one count aggravated assault with 20 years, 10 to serve, bal. prob.; one count stalking with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 20 years, with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 10 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Corenthius Wilcher, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count theft by taking with five years to serve; one count obstruction of an officer with 12 months probation; one count giving false information to an officer with 12 months probation; driving on suspended license with 12 months probation, and improper headlights with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of five years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Rafael Lamont Denson, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of a firearm during the commission of felony. He was fined $50 with 10 years to serve, possession of a schedule II controlled substance with three years probation; possession of marijuana w/intent with ten years probation; possession of drug related object with 12 months probation; obstruction with 12 months probation; criminal trespass with 12 months probation; and possession of firearm by a convicted felon with 10 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 30 years, with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 10 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Georgiana Nicole Stephens, negotiated a guilty plea for possession of meth. She was fined $500 with 15 years, five years to serve, bal. prob; possession of drug related object with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 15 years, with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of five years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Barry Mandrelle Davis, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea for tampering with three years to serve. Defendant is sentenced to a total of three years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Joseph Seth Schrader, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea for burglary in 2nd degree. He was fined $50 with five years to serve; financial transaction card theft with three years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of eight years, with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of five years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. James O. Phillips, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea for financial card fraud transaction. He was fined $50 with two years probation; financial card fraud transaction with two years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of four years to be served on probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of five years, with the first year to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. John Adam Music, negotiated a guilty-alford plea for felony DUI. He was fined $1,000 with five eyars prob, 90-120 PDC susp for PTR in Toombs; driving while licenses suspended with 12 months probation; failure to maintain lane with 12 months probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of five years to be served on probation.
