July 13

A report was made of a damaged vehicle. The complainant stated she let her child’s father use her car, and his ex-girlfriend threw a bottle at the vehicle and damaged both the right side of the vehicle and the driver side door.

Officers responded to a report of an irate male with a gun. When arriving in the area, the offender had already left. The officers then went on a search for the offender, and proceeded to pull him over once they found him. He admitted to drinking, having weed, and having a pistol. He was arrested. The complainant stated the gun wasn’t drawn but he looked as if he was thinking about using it.

July 14

Officers responded to a report of domestic violence. When they arrived, the complainant stated he heard a male beating on a female in a room of a motel. The officers checked the room, and there was no one there. The complainant seemed under the influence and wasn’t answering questions with good thought. The manager had him criminally trespassed from the property.

An unwanted person report was made. The complainant’s step-son’s sister came in after being told to leave. She later left walking down the street.

Officers responded to a report of a dog at large. When arriving on the scene, the complainant stated he saw a dog chasing two girls so he caught the dog’s attention and it bit him on the calf. Animal control was called, but when they found the dog, it was in a cage with puppies. It was decided to fine the owner instead of taking the dog.

A report was made of a stolen phone. The complainant stated the offender was at his home earlier looking for a tire plug and stole his phone. He called it later in the day, and an unknown male answered, stating he bought the phone from someone for $50.

July 15

Officers responded to a report of a dispute. The complainant stated that she and a male were having an argument, so she left his residence to go to her sister's house. He followed her there because he believed she had his phone and wallet. She showed the officers that she did not have either. The male wants the female evicted from his home.

A report was made of a damaged vehicle. The complainant stated she was leaving her daughter's house and hit a curb, damaging the front end of her vehicle.

July 16

Officers responded to a report of an underage drinker. When on the scene, there was liquor and jello shots all over the motel room. The offender stated she got the alcohol from someone in Wadley. All three offenders were given citations.

July 17

A report was made of a damaged vehicle. The complainant stated the side of his vehicle was hit while he was in Walmart.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle having an illegal tint level. When pulled over, the driver looked visibly intoxicated. He was given multiple tests, and failed. He was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of battery. The complainant stated when the offender got back from the club, she was asked to leave. She refused, and threw a cooler at the complainant. She was arrested for battery.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle having a malfunctioning brake light. When pulled over, officers noticed the driver’s license was suspended due to not appearing. She was arrested.

July 18

Officers arrested a male and female, due to them both having warrants for their arrest.

An officer assisted another officer with a traffic stop due to a weapon being in arms reach of the offender. The offender was asleep in the vehicle, so the officers retrieved the weapon without waking him. He was then woken up and asked for consent to search. Officers found crystal meth and numerous pills. He was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person. The complainant stated the offender was passed out in her vehicle with the door wide open. The offender admitted to smoking weed, and believed he had been drugged. He had outstanding warrants in Bryan County. He was arrested.

A report was made of a stolen tag. The complainant stated his tag was stolen overnight.

Officers responded to a report of stolen car parts. The complainant stated she went to go get her mother’s car, and the battery was missing out of it.

Officers responded to a dispute at a local bank. A female tried to take out a large withdrawal, but due to the account being open less than three months, the request was denied. The female was very upset at this, and it caused an argument.

Officers responded to a report of a gun being drawn on employees of a local business. When confronting the offender, he stated he never pulled a gun. There was a verbal altercation between the parties, and the male stated he was not going to get jumped. No charges were pressed.

July 19

Two females and one male were arrested due to them having warrants for their arrest.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle not having registration or insurance. When pulled over, the officer noticed the driver didn’t have a license either. They then searched the vehicle and found a marijuana grinder. He was arrested.

A report was made of a damaged vehicle. The complainant stated their vehicle was damaged while they were in Walmart.

July 20

A report was made of a damaged vehicle. The complainant stated he believes somebody was trying to break into his vehicle, because there are scratches around his door.

Officers responded to a report of a male using a stolen EBT card. He tried to use an old receipt as well. When officers arrived, the male was already gone. They went to the male’s motel room and he wasn’t there either. The manager stated he tried to sell her the card for $20.

Officers attempted a traffic stop due to a vehicle not having insurance and having an expired registration. The vehicle did not stop, and initiated a chase. When they caught up with the offender, he was arrested. The passenger was also arrested due to having active warrants on them. Officers later found methamphetamine in the vehicle.
