June 30

Officers arrested a male for shoplifting behind Little Caesars.

Officers responded to a report of a dispute at a local fast-food restaurant. The complainant reported a dispute with one of the employees.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle having a suspended registration and not having valid insurance. The driver was arrested.

July 1

A K-9 unit was requested to search a vehicle for drugs. While searching the passenger side, officers found suspected marijuana. Officers also found 2 small white rocky substances believed to be cocaine.

A report was made of a missing .308 handgun.

Officers responded to a report of a dog at large. The dog reportedly tore up a load of trash in the neighbor’s yard, and she wanted something done about it. The owner was issued a citation and the dog was taken to the animal shelter.

Officers took custody of a woman who had a warrant for her arrest, and placed her in the Emanuel County Jail.

June 2

Officers responded to a report of harassing phone calls and text messages. The complainant stated the offender keeps accusing her of stealing money off of a male’s card, who hasn’t stayed with her in a while. She was told to gather any proof saying she didn’t use the card, and to ignore the offender.

Officers pursued a black Mercedes vehicle due to the driver failing to stop at multiple stop signs. The driver was going 130 mph at one point. They managed to escape the officers by taking a lot of curves. The owner of the vehicle was not from Emanuel County.

July 3

A report was made of a male using 2 fake $100 bills to purchase a battery.

A report was made of someone attempting to break into a home. The complainant stated this isn’t the first time the offender tried to break in. She was informed of legal remedies.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle having a suspended registration. When pulled over, officers found out the driver didn’t have a license. She was arrested and the vehicle was towed.

Officers responded to a report of battery. The complainant stated his recently separated wife came to his home with his kids and broke his screen door. She was throwing things, pushing him, and screaming while the kids were there. He has camera footage to prove everything. She was gone when officers tried to locate her.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a driver not wearing a seatbelt. When pulled over, it was learned the driver had a warrant for his arrest in Cobb County. Officers placed him under arrest.

July 4

Officers responded to a report of a dispute. The complainant stated a male was yelling at her, and asking for cigars as if he was on drugs.

Officers responded to a report of battery. A couple was in a vehicle, and the female told the male she was leaving him. He got irate and took the keys. He then started striking her. He was then arrested.

Officers responded to a shoplifting report. 2 females were caught skipping items while checking out. One stated she had nothing to do with it, the other was arrested for shoplifting items under $500.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a driver having a suspended license. When pulled over, the officer could smell burnt marijuana. The passenger admitted to smoking recently. The driver was arrested for driving without a license. The vehicle was then searched, and they found a pipe, suspected crystal meth, and cards with different names on them. The passenger was also arrested and the vehicle was towed.

July 5

A report of missing medicine was made. The complainant stated he believes the meds fell off his vehicle but needs them refilled.

A report of burglary was made. The complainant stated she left home, and when she returned her door was opened with new marks on it. Nothing was missing.

A damaged vehicle report was made. The complainant stated she doesn’t know what hit her windshield but it was cracked.

Officers transported an offender to the Emanuel County Jail, per the Judge’s request.

The municipal court sentenced a male to 7 days in jail.

While arresting an offender, a stolen phone was recovered and returned to its owner.
