September 25

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to shoplifting, that turned into an altercation.

Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to shoplifting. 

Officer conducted a traffic stop for no seatbelt.  Upon investigation, it was found that the vehicle did not have any valid insurance.

Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to harassment.

Officer was conducted a traffic stop to find there was no insurance on the vehicle. 

September 26

Officer was dispatched to Center St. in reference to a domestic.

Officer was dispatched to Sunset Inn in reference to burglary.

Officer responded to a vehicle accident.

Officer was dispatched to EMC to meet with complainant that stated offender attacked and beat him, sending him to Augusta Medical due to facial fractures.

Officers were dispatched to Anderson Dr. in reference to someone putting sugar into the gas tank of a vehicle. 

Officer received a call to respond to Project St. in reference to a damaged vehicle.

September 27

Officer responded to Stevens Dr. in reference to a break-in. 

Officer was patrolling the area of E. Main St. when his tag reader alerted him of a expired tag.  Upon conducting a traffic stop, it was found that the driver had suspended license.

Officer responded to Stevens Dr. in reference to a stolen vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to Taco Bell in reference to a dispute involving an employee and her husband.  Complainant stated the victim was at work and her husband showed up and walked behind the counter and started hollering and cussing at the victim.  Complainant also advised law enforcement that they do not want the offender back at Taco Bell.

Officer was positioned at The Bradford Inn for the purpose of a warrant in turn.

September 28

Officer observed a vehicle go under a yellow light and speed up rapidly.  Officer got behind the vehicle and the vehicle ran the stop sign without hardly slowing down.  Officer conducted a traffic stop to find the driver did to have a license.

September 30

Officer was dispatched to Hwy 56 N in reference to complainant stating that while she was in the Health Dept. someone broke her back driver side window out.  After speaking to some workers, it is believed that it may have happened when people were cutting the grass.

Officer responded to a N. Main St. address in reference to a theft by taking.  Complainant stated she let her sister stay at her house and when she left, complainant notice some of her brand new clothes were missing.

Officer initiated a traffic stop for no seatbelt.  Once making contact with the driver, it was found she was driving on a suspended license.

Officer was dispatched to Pine St. in reference to a dispute.

October 1

Officer met with complainant in reference to a potential case of elder abuse.

Officer responded to Lucky St. in reference to shots being fired. 

Officer took a report in reference to identity theft. 

Officer was dispatched to Braswell Blvd. in reference to parts being stolen off of 3 different cars.

Officer observed a vehicle go through a stop sign without stopping. Officer initiated a traffic stop at which time the driver kept going until he reached his destination and jumped out of the car. He was informed to get back in the car and was told why he was stopped.  It was found the driver had suspended license.

October 2

Officers received a call to respond to Mable Ave. to an unknown problem due to a language barrier. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown person stole complainants washer.

Officer was patrolling the area of N. Coleman St. when contact was made with offender who officer knew had multiple warrants. Officer advised offender of his warrants and offender began to snatch away and tried to flee.

Officer responded to DQ in reference to employees that were told by management to leave and they refused.

Officer was dispatched to S. Main St. for harassing text messages.  Complainant stated her ex-husband has been sending threatening texts.

Officer was dispatched to Enmarket in reference to a homeless person on site.  After speaking with victims son, he stated the offender has dementia.

October 3

Officer was traveling on W. Main St. when a vehicle with very dark tented windows traveled through the intersection.  Officer ran the tag display to find the vehicle had no valid insurance, at which time officer initiated a traffic stop.  Upon using the tent meter, it read 7% and the driver stated he had suspended license, and no insurance. It was also found that the driver had multiple failure to appears and an outstanding warrant from another county.

Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to disorderly conduct.

October 4

Officer was dispatched toLewis St. in reference too simple battery.  Upon arrival, complainant stated her boyfriend grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground because she has been communicating with his girlfriend/child’s mother.
