May 12

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a driver not wearing a seatbelt. When pulled over, the officer noticed a strong marijuana odor, and asked if the driver would get out of the vehicle. The driver didn’t comply with most questions, and resisted arrest.

Officers responded to a dispute. The compliant stated the offender struck her daughter and herself over miscommunication. She was advised how to get a restraining order.

Officer performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. When pulled over, the driver had a strong alcoholic odor on him, so the officer gave him a sobriety test. He failed, and was arrested.

May 13

Officers responded to a report of a dispute. The compliant called the offender to get their phone, and started an argument when they arrived. Both parties were pushing each other. They were advised to separate till things calmed down.

Officer assisted another officer with a traffic stop. The driver had no insurance, suspended license, and suspended registration. He was arrested.

A report of harassment was issued. The compliant stated the offender keeps following him and doesn't know why.

A report of harassing text messages was issued. The compliant stated the offender keeps texting her to fight because she is dating the offender’s baby’s father.

May 14

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle going 58 in a 35. When pulled over, the driver stated he didn’t have a license, he only had a passport. He was arrested.

A report of a stolen firearm was issued. The compliant stated it has been missing since her boyfriend moved out 2 weeks ago.

Man was arrested at Walmart for switching item tags at the self-checkout.

A warrant was served for Coffee County.

May 15

Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. The offender was switching tags on items. She was arrested and the items were returned.

Officers responded to an irate patient at a local hospital. The patient was fighting the nurses. Warrants were made for simple battery.

Officers spotted a person with multiple warrants on a bike, and pursued after them. When captured, the person had crack in their pockets, and admitted to having a problem. He was arrested.

May 17

A warrant was served for Toombs County.

A male was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Officers performed a traffic stop due to a vehicle going 50 in a 35. The driver was also driving with a suspended license. He was arrested.
