Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…
November 26
Officer came in contact with a vehicle that passed and the tag reader alerted him that the tag was cancelled, at which point he conducted a traffic stop. The driver informed officer that he knew the vehicle was uninsured and the registration was not active.
Officer was traveling behind a vehicle and ran the tag that came back with no valid insurance, at which time she initiated a traffic stop.
November 27
Officer took a walk-in report in reference to complainant stating the owner of a store accused her of stealing.
Officer observed a vehicle doing what he estimated to be 14 MPH over the speed limit, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. After getting the driver’s info, officer was notified that the vehicle had suspended registration and no insurance.
Officer noticed a vehicle did not come to a complete stop and conducted a traffic stop. When the driver was asked for his license, he stated they were suspended. Driver also stated the tag did not belong on the vehicle due to the current tag being stolen.
November 28
Officer was dispatched to a Kathleen Rd. address in reference to the resident being harassed by a former girlfriend.
November 29
Officer was dispatched to Church of the Nazarene in reference to damage to the church.
Officer was behind a vehicle that came back with no insurance coverage., at which time she initiated a traffic stop.
Officer was traveling behind a vehicle and observed the tag that appeared to be expired and ran the tag to come back with cancelled registration, at which time she initiated a traffic stop. Driver informed officer his license were suspended, but had an ID card.
November 30
Offender was at the SPD to turn himself in for active warrants.
Complainant called the SPD in reference to victim being verbally abused by family members inside the home. She stated the victim is her patient and while she was there, offenders would cuss him out and verbally attack him.
December 1
Officer was dispatched to Kathleen Dr. in reference to complainant stating her ex-boyfriend stole her power tools along with a few other household items.
Officer was asked to assist deputies at a place of business in reference to complainant getting into an altercation with offender.
Officers were dispatched to WalMart in reference to a verbal dispute.
December 2
Officer responded to the area of N. Coleman St. and Church St. in reference to a foot chase with GSP.
Officer responded to Lindsey Rd. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated her husband passed away and a son was taking possessions that did not belong to him.
Officer was dispatched to EMC in reference to an unruly patient that was involved in a crash.
Officer was dispatched to Happiness Dr. for an argument between family members.
Officer was dispatched to Happiness Dr. in reference to a separate incident and personally heard 5-6 gunshots.
Officer responded to S. Central St. in reference to a complainant stating their landlord was putting him and his wife out. Complainants stated they allowed their employee and his wife to stay temporarily at the business when they got kicked out of their residence as long as they stayed clean of drugs but victim failed a random drug screen so he was told they had to leave.
Officer was dispatched to Electric Dr. in reference to burglary. Upon running the tag on the vehicle, the registered owner came back with an active warrant.
December 3
Officer was dispatched to WalMart in reference to a shoplifter.
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. for damage to property.
Officer responded to S. Main St. in reference to damage to property.
Officer was dispatched to Calhoun St. for a dog at large.
Officer was directed to have a vehicle removed from Oak St.
Officer responded to Anderson Dr. in reference to a dispute.
