SPD hosts third annual Treasure Hunt for Kids program

Posted

Swainsboro Police Department kicked off its third annual Treasure Hunt for Kids program on Tuesday, June 8.

Throughout the month, officers with the Swainsboro Police Department will hide special painted rocks throughout the city for local children to hunt. Once a rock is hidden, a special clue is dropped on Swainsboro Police Department’s Facebook page. Children, accompanied by a guardian, will then begin to search for the hidden rock. Once located, the child is to report to police headquarters and exchange the located rock for a prize!

As of Tuesday’s press time, five hidden rocks had been located and redeemed for prizes by the following youth participants: Grayson Polan, Rainee Meadows, Conner Clements, Leland Polan and Damien Johnson.

This program is for children of ages 3 through 12 with accompanying adult. Stay current with future winner updates by visiting Swainsboro Police Department’s Facebook page! For more information, contact Swainsboro Police Department at 478-237-8967. Happy Hunting!
